Reflections June Group Tours: Summer

The Reflections tours are for people living with memory loss and their families, giving them the chance to enjoy the Nasher’s art and current exhibitions. This month, the tour is focusing on the summer season, with a chance to create a work of art after the tour. This sounds like a lovely way to spend a morning or afternoon with a family member or friend with memory loss. Email reflections@duke.edu or call 919-684-8816. This tour will be repeated on Tuesday, June 26th as well.

MUSIC

Cold Cave with Black Marble and Choir Boy

Motorco Music Hall
Doors 7pm, Show at 8pm
$18
Buy tickets here Well, according to The Guardian theguardian.com, , “Wesley Eisold is an absolutely new, young god of nihilism and despair – he brilliantly captures Cold Cave’s aesthetic: the Morrissey of How Soon Is Now wailing over Nitzer Ebb beats and New Order melodies.” That right there will either make you roll your eyes straight back into your brain or rush out to buy tickets. Pick one.

If you want to sample Cold Cave for yourself, check out their Bandcamp. I recommend “Nothing Is True But You” – you’ll either love it or hate it, but either way, I think it really proves The Guardian’s take is totally true.
