Reese McHenry (of Dirty Little Heaters) and Stephen Gardner have got a delightful duo thing going on. Maybe “delightful” isn’t the right word… maybe “forceful” or “rocking’” or “fuckin’ awesome” is a better definition. Don’t believe me? Check em out for yourself and then go see them tonight. Try not to have a good time, I dare you.
Our first show at the Berkeley in Raleigh. Scott Oates took the video.

I’m not personally familiar with Amigo, but they got a cool review from No Depression (see below), so I’m totally on board. I’m bummed to miss them, but this is going to be a great show, so go have a big time for me!
“This Charlotte, NC, country-rock trio is very funny, and almost sneakily substantial. On a casual listen, Amigo’s new And Friends simply sounds like easygoing country-rock with a penchant for boogie. Pay a little more attention, though, and be rewarded with staggeringly funny — and ultimately dark — lyrics.” – No Depression
