4th of July: City of Durham

Durham Bulls 4th of July 2015

This 4th of July, the City of Durham has got some fun planned for you! Celebrate your Fourth with baseball and fireworks at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park!

First, take in a game with your favorite minor league team, the Durham Bulls, as they take on the Norfolk Tides. The game starts at 6:05pm, and the fireworks begin immediately following the end of the game. Tickets are necessary to enjoy the game, and you can purchase them here:

Want to see the fireworks, but not the game? No worries- the gates at the park open for general admission at the end of the 7th inning. You can catch the end of the game and the fireworks for no charge! We can’t think of a better 4th of July deal.

Remember:

  • You cannot tailgate in the parking decks (might we suggest pre-game drinks and snacks at Tobacco Road Sports Cafe?)
  • You cannot watch fireworks from the top of the parking decks.
  • You cannot stop or park illegally on public streets/highways to watch the fireworks.

There are several parking decks convenient to the park. If you live nearby and can walk to the park or can carpool with friends, we suggest you do so as traffic leaving the area will very likely be heavily delayed.

Enjoy the fireworks, and have a great 4th!
